When the fire happened, the following day, my employer Eddie at Papa John's Pizza, announced we would donate two large pizzas to every person affected from the fire, who came to our store.
We didn't expect the number of evacuees who came to have pizza.
Some of them told us they hadn't eaten since escaping from the fire.
The store was full with evacuees and we knew we needed to give them pizza to eat - that was the simplest way we could help.
Serving evacuees pizza that day was one of the happiest moments I've had.
Let's help each other as much as we can.
